Snowmass is located just a few miles from Aspen, and the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, and is surrounded by many of Colorado’s most beautiful mountain peaks. Legendarily, much of the best ski and snowboard terrain in North America is found here. With our horizon of 14,000-foot peaks, a 3,332-acre ski mountain, and a spectacular roster of year-round mountain activities, Snowmass will be the inspirational backdrop for the VESS 2022 Annual Winter Meeting.

We understand that a degree of uncertainty exists around traveling and attending in-person events because of COVID-19. We are closely monitoring the situation and working with the Marriott Viewline Snowmass Resort to ensure the safety of everyone attending.

2022 Vascular Fellows Program

The objective of the 2022 VESS Vascular Fellows Program is to educate graduating fellows on starting a career as a vascular surgeon. Recent topics have included negotiating contracts, billing and coding, social media and branding, how to be successful in an academic vs. private practice, and recognizing/coping with burnout. Participants have the opportunity to present interesting cases with review from our moderators. Please consider sending a fellow or trainee to this outstanding program. Capacity is limited to 30 individuals.

Next Generation Medical Student Symposium

The 2022 Next Generation Student Mentor Program will once again focus on providing medical students with a career interest in vascular surgery, a forum to see what we are all about. This symposium seeks to empower the next generation of medical students to experience the clinical challenges, technological innovation, translational research, and fellowship that defines our important specialty. Travel stipends will be given to 30 medical students.

Vascular Technology Forum

The 2022 Technology Forum will focus on broad vascular pathology and will showcase some of the best that industry has to offer. The emphasis of this program is for industry to provide insight into current and up-and-coming technology, as well as what treating physicians may see in the near future as it relates to developments in the pipeline. It will also provide opportunity for an intensive, hands-on experience in a small group format that provides a granular experience for the participating physicians.
Open to all registered attendees.
General Surgery Resident Vascular Interest Program

We are excited to announce the launch of the first General Surgery Resident Vascular Interest Program, aimed to sponsor and provide network opportunities to all general surgery resident applicants that have an interest in pursuing a Vascular Surgery Fellowship.
The program will include topics of interest regarding fellowship application process, types of programs, academic and private practice, mentoring opportunities, research advancement and the unique VESS networking environment that will allow attendees to interact with other vascular fellows and residents, vascular surgery faculty around the country as well as immersion to broad vascular pathology and industry technology.

- Reservations must be made by 5:00 pm (Eastern) Monday, December 27, 2021. After this deadline, or if the VESS block of rooms sells out prior to the above mentioned deadline, availability and rates cannot be guaranteed.
- Please mention the VESS 2022 Annual Meeting to ensure the discounted rate.
- All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit.
- Early Departure: If an attendee checks out prior to the confirmed checkout date, attendee will forfeit full amount paid and no refunds will be given for early departure.
- Check-in time is 4:00 pm. Check-out time is 11:00 am. Guests arriving before 4:00 pm will be accommodated as rooms become available.
- Discounted room rates are applicable three days prior and three days after the conference dates based on availability.
- We strongly recommend making your reservations as early as possible. We anticipate selling out of our discounted rooms early.

If you plan to begin skiing before Thursday, January 20th please be sure to indicate this on the registration questionnaire. Arrangements will be made to have your lift tickets available in advance.
